Up and Down the back lanes of Brechfa

This is a lovely walk which takes you in a loop around the back lanes of Brechfa. There are hills involved as you can imagine! This is our go to walk.

It is a straight forward walk which will take around an hour, you can also run it if you feel so inclined. Just be aware there are hills involved.

The Route

The route starts from Tŷ Mawr, exit the hotel to the left and start to walk towards the shop. You will see a sign to your left saying New Inn follow this up the hill until you see the first left turn signposted Felin Marlais and Llanllawddog, take this left and stay on this lane. You will walk down a slight hill and pass some houses then the lane carrys on up a hill.

The lane continues up and down and you may see some of the amazing Highland Cattle if you are lucky!

Keep on this lane, you will pass some signs to various houses and small holdings. Eventually you will come to a T Junction, take the left and carry on up the hill, this will take you straight back to Brechfa where you will come out on the right hand side of the Forest Arms. Carry on from here and Tŷ Mawr will be found on your left.

So basically keep going left and you will be fine.
